The Metals Section of The United Kingdom Institute for Conservation are a group of both public and private sector conservators working within museums and heritage sites who have a special interest in the conservation of metal objects. These objects encompass all types of metal artefact, including both small and exquisitely-worked decorative arts as well as large industrial machinery, and range in date from early history to the present. Conferences are organised regularly and information on them will appear
and be updated on these pages. A review of the meeting The Conservation
of Objects Hazardous to Health, held at The Science Museum on 25th
March 1998, can be found here. |
