The Metal Section of UKIC as part of its training programme is planning to offer an interesting and informative day examining founding, medal striking and conservation of coins.
The day will consist of visits to the workshops of Pangolin Editions Foundry, Ian Rank-Broadley, Medal Striking and Andy Mitchell, Sculptor, including talks and demonstrations. There will also be a talk on conservation of coins
The date for the event is September 11th 2003 and delegates will be limited to sixteen on a first-come first-served basis. Delegates will be collected from Stroud Station, Gloucestershire by mini bus and taken to the various venues which are all located close by, lunch will be included in the price.
