Pedestrian and Transit
Pedestrian and Transit
There is a growing demand for relevant, location-aware services on mobile devices. Location aware data can address this demand by providing pedestrians with detailed local information enabling them to navigate efficiently on foot or via public transit systems. By combining pedestrian thoroughfares like sidewalks, walkways, tunnels and bridges with time-sensitive public transit system information it becomes possible to enable multi-modal routing. And for the first time, urban travelers with enabled devices will be able to take full advantage of their surroundings by being able to get from place to place using the most time efficient and closest transit option.
Content Features
Content features include 1) pedestrian geometry and attributes important to pedestrian routing, 2) public transit information including stop locations and timetables (in select regions) and 3)neighborhood boundaries to enable local and proximity search.
When used in combination with other location content from our database, such as branded travel guides, 3D Landmarks and 3D City Models, we can give users a richer, more informed travel experience and assists their transition from one type of transit to another during a journey.
Expanding Global Coverage
Our pedestrian and transit content is currently available for major cities in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific with ongoing expansion to additional cities in these geographies.
