PRESENTATION OF AWARDS 2004

On 22 June, the four Pilgrim Trust Awards were presented at a ceremony at the British Library attended by over 250 people. The winners were:

THE AWARD FOR CONSERVATION
Winners: Hamilton Kerr Institute with the parish of St Mary's Thornham Parva
Rt Hon Tessa Jowell with Ian McClure and Martin Kay


THE STUDENT CONSERVATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
Winners: Erica Kotze and Camberwell College of Arts
Liz Forgan and Erica Kotze


THE DIGITAL PRESERVATION AWARD
Winner: The National Archives (The Digital Archive)
Specially Commended: University of Leeds and University of Michigan (the CAMiLEON project)
David Ryan and Loyd Grossman


THE ANNA PLOWDEN AWARD FOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION
Winner: David Howell, Textile Conservation Studio, Historic Royal Palaces.
David Howell and Dr William Plowden

 

The Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, presented the Award for Conservation and gave a keynote address.
