THE NIGEL WILLIAMS PRIZE
The CGCG committee are delighted to announce the second Nigel Williams Prize for ceramics and glass conservation and restoration.
The award is for the best completed object, project, an outstanding contribution to ceramic and glass conservation and restoration, or a significant achievement in conservation and restoration within the last four years.
The award is open to UK-based UKIC members. The scale of the project is not a deciding factor. The work must have been completed between March 2000 and March 2004. An outstanding contribution or a significant achievement can have been made over a period of years.
All shortlisted candidates will receive a certificate.The winner(s) will receive a £500 cash prize. They will also hold the specially designed trophy, kindly donated by Wedgwood, until the next prize is awarded two years later.
The winner(s) will be announced at the Conservation Awards prize-giving ceremony in November 2004 at the British Libarary.
Application deadline is 31 May 2004.
