How can conservators prevent objects getting dunked in HP sauce and Steradent, or mineral preserved organics washed down the plughole? Help the Portable Antiquities Scheme get conservation on the agenda.

This controversial subject needs your input. The meeting includes presentations by archaeologists, conservators, scientists and detectorists with plenty of time for discussion. After the meeting there will be a wine reception, gallery talk and free entry to the new exhibition of spectacular metal detected finds, “Buried Treasure: Finding Our Past”. The programme for the day is given below.

Tickets for the meeting are selling fast, to secure your place please contact Kirsten Suenson-Taylor, 01295 720350 [email protected] or Claire Heywood [email protected].

Fee includes free exhibition entry (normally £7), interval refreshments and evening wine reception. Lunch is not included.
